Also, make sure certificates of occupancy are in order if you have done any major renovations.<\/p>\n<h2>2. Declutter and depersonalize.<\/h2>\n<p>Remove family memorabilia from the main living areas. Clear surfaces of their daily accumulations. Clean out closets, too, as overstuffed closets make people believe you don\u2019t have enough storage.<\/p>\n<h2>3. Get squeaky clean.<\/h2>\n<p>Shampoo rugs, change burnt-out lightbulbs, replace broken switch plates and outlets, and exorcise pet odors.
